Collette Doucette

Director

With over 40 years of experience in senior care, Collette Doucette has dedicated her career to improving the quality of life for seniors in New Brunswick.

After beginning her career as a Nurse’s Aide at Villa Providence in Shediac, Collette owned and operated a 45-bed Special Care Home for 17 years. Since 2017, she has served as Senior Manager of Résidence O Bons Soins in Shediac and, since 2022, as Senior Manager of Manoir Notre Dame in Moncton. Together, the two facilities care for more than 250 residents and employ over 130 staff members.

In 2026, Collette was successful in obtaining approval for both facilities to temporarily accommodate up to 15 Level 3G residents, helping relieve hospital pressures by providing care for seniors awaiting nursing home placement.

Collette serves as Chair of the Large Home Committee and is a member of the Executive Committee of the New Brunswick Special Care Home Association Board of Directors, where she meets monthly with the Department of Social Development to advocate for improvements in the Special Care Home sector.

Married to her high school sweetheart, Donald, since 1986, Collette is the proud mother of two sons and grandmother of two grandchildren.
